About Client
The client is a Group company of one of India's largest industrial conglomerates and market leader in manufacturing of specialized chemicals for industrial and consumer goods. The Innovation Centre set up by the client with the objective of developing world-class R&D facility, working on more than 20 projects in the areas of nanotechnology and biotechnology, was under expansion. This expansion to serve a much wider base of clients, from the Group companies as well as external companies was a critical business goal for the client.
CHALLENGE
With multiple vendors hired to perform disparate jobs, the project was by now facing an increased risk in terms of cost and time overruns. A fixed bid contract for parts and installation of fire fighting systems had already created immense stretch on getting the work front ready.
APPROACH
Taking the challenge head-on, our team prioritised the tasks, prepared a highly detailed schedule of all activities and ensured proactive communication with every related agency, the very moment work front was available. This helped the client as well as all other stakeholders to gain a clear view of the progress, costs and operational issues that had sprouted up while execution. Establishing single point of contact to resolve all critical hold-ups, we simultaneously mobilised the team to kick-start the work on site.
SOLUTION
